rmenian citizens escaping, vanishing one by one

Emigration remains one of the key problems in Armenia as statistics show a huge outflow of people from the country.
Armenian citizens have preferred citizenship in other countries over the years rather than to live in their own country by force under harsh difficulties.
The permanent population of Armenia, according to the official statistics, fell by 4,300 over the past year.
Why are Armenian people leaving?
Most Armenians, which are majority from younger generations, are leaving the country in hope of finding a better life abroad. Unemployment, poor social conditions, and a lack of hope for a better future are the major drivers for increasing the outflow of people from the Post Soviet country. As many as 103,994 Armenian citizens left the country only in the first half of this year.
The tendency to leave is dangerous trend from the demographic point of view.
Armenian news portal News.am writes in its most recent World Population Prospect, the UN predicts that given its emigration trajectory the current Armenian 2015 population of 3 million 18 thousand will decrease to 2 million 933 thousand in 2030, and in 2050 to 2 million 729 thousand – with a 9.6-percent loss – and 1 million 739 thousand people in 2100.
It turns out that that in 50 years the population of Armenia will reduce by almost one million.
Experts place the problem of unemployment as the leading cause of emigration. Armenia saw a rise of 1.4 percent in the unemployment rate to 17.6 percent in 2914.
Along with economic factors, Armenia also has some political factors pushing people to leave the country. The violation of human rights and the absence of a democratic atmosphere are also major factors.
The Armenian authorities' reckless domestic policy and aggressive foreign policy have paralyzed the country's social system and forced it into a blockade by the rest of the countries in the region. Armenia caused out a lengthy war with neighboring Azerbaijan by laying groundless territorial claims on its territory and now keeps over 20 percent of Azerbaijan's internationally recognized territory under occupation.
Such policy has irritated his southern neighbor Turkey, which has also decided to close its borders with the Post Soviet regime until it changes its aggressive stance.
The violation of human rights, infringement of universal principles of democracy, military situation, and the deplorable conditions in the army are forcing people to desperately leave their motherland, while the current regime is unwilling to change or put an end to its lawlessness.
