Azerbaijan ready to prevent enemy attacks at any time

Armed forces of the aggressor Armenia have recently intensified the violation of the ceasefire regime on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops, deliberately targeting settlements along the frontline.
During the last two weeks, the Armenian troops broke the ceasefire on average 80 times a day using large-caliber machine guns and mortars.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, commenting on the situation on the frontline, reported that Azerbaijani Armed Forces, guided by the instructions of the defense minister, control actions of enemy units, and is ready to prevent enemy action at any time.
The Azerbaijani armed forces stand ready to give a worthy response to the enemy attacks at any time.
The ministry told Trend on July 23 that Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan makes regular visits to the line of contact, including to Armenian military units located near the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, noting that all this shows enemy’s concern.
Armenian experts also argue that the regular visits made by Azerbaijan’s military leadership are evidence of an attempt to restore discipline in the army, and that the management is trying to fill the void on the frontline.
"Azerbaijani armed forces, destroying the manpower and equipment of Armenian armed forces, suppress the enemy's attempts to strengthen its position on the frontline," the ministry said.
Azerbaijan’s armed forces in the last few days, using heavy weapons and mortars, prevented enemy’s attempts to intensify clashes on the contact line, according to the report.
“Establishment of separate Combined Arms Army in Nakhchivan under the decision of Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, has created an opportunity for the defense of Nakhchivan at a high level, taking into account the autonomous republic’s strategic importance,” the ministry said.
The ministry emphasized that the military leadership of Armenia must understand that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces – which is equipped with modern armaments, military equipment, modern aviation, missile and artillery systems such as the “Smerch” volley-fire missile systems – is always ready to destroy military facilities throughout the territory of Armenia, including Yerevan, from Nakhchivan’s territory.
Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan has been on-going for a quarter of a century. The consequences of its actions are the occupation of a fifth of our state's territory, the ethnic cleansing of the lands seized by the enemy, as a result of which tens of thousands of civilians have perished and more than one million people have been displaced and found themselves in the position of being refugees.
Peace talks brokered by mediators from Russia, France, and the U.S. have produced no results so far.
Armenia continues the occupation in defiance of four UN Security Council resolutions calling for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal.
