'Clean air' month scheduled for August


The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry together with the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry will hold a month of a “Clean Air” starting from August.
Vagif Asadov, the head of the Public Relations Department of the Baku city Traffic Police Department, said to realize the "State program on demography and population development in Azerbaijan", approved by the presidential decree in November 2014, and to improve the environmental situation, the two ministries approved the plan of joint actions, according to which on the territory the country, including Baku, will take place a month "Clean Air".
Regular raids aimed to reduce car emissions into the atmosphere will be carried out in August in throughout country.
“Cars will be raided by using special equipment in accordance with the action plan prepared to improve the environment," he said.
He added that the violators will be penalized
