Hikmet Hajiyev: “Such acts are disrespect for Azerbaijan's sovereignty, refugees and internally displaced persons”
An issue on the visit of a group of Russian bikers to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan is under investigation, said Hikmat Hajiyev, Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA reports.
Hajiyev said that the Azerbaijani embassy in Russia is investigating the issue and further information would be made public.
“We would like to take this opportunity to remind that an illegal visit to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan is the violation of Azerbaijan's law on “State border” and Migration Code. Such acts are disrespect for Azerbaijan's internationally recognized territorial integrity and sovereignty, refugees and internally displaced persons who underwent bloody ethnic cleansing as a result of Armenian occupation. Persons making an illegal visit to the occupied territories under the instigation and influence of Armenia and the Armenian lobby, serving promotion of occupation and bloody ethnic cleansing committed against the Azerbaijani people must perceive their political, legal and moral responsibility,” he said.
Reports were disseminated that bikers group 'Night Wolves' would arrive in Armenia on July 31 and then visit Nagorno Karabakh.
