Rihanna is now the creative director of a sock label
Rihanna is literally dipping another toe into the world of fashion design by signing up as contributing creative director of Stance, a US-based sock brand.
The first fruits of their collaborative endeavour has already been revealed, with a release of two limited-edition sets of over-the-knee and crew socks emblazoned with a print called Murder Rih Wrote. Only 1,500 sets have been produced, all of which are individually numbered.
If the name Stance doesn’t ring any bells, it’s a brand that 27-year-old Riri has championed for some time. “I've had a great relationship with Stance for a long time and I am happy to be working with them on such a fun and creative project,” said the Umbrella singer. “This is an exciting new venture.”
ASOS.com will stock the brand from September 1, which is when the full extent of the creative partnership will be revealed. The Bajan singer has also been named a ‘Punks & Poets’ ambassador, joining a roster of representatives with cool credentials in abundance, such as girl group Haim, Langlex Fox Hemingway and singer Santigold.
Chart-topper Rihanna is currently the creative director for sportswear label Puma and enjoyed a design partnership with high street chain River Island.
